Himoinsa to launch battery power genset

Himoinsa has launched a new battery-powered genset that offers up to zero emissions and zero noise for construction sites.

Himoinsa EHR Battery Power Generator Himoinsa’s new EHR Battery Power Generator will be launched in October, 2021.

Due to be released in October of this year, the new EHR Battery Power Generator is designed to be used in conjunction with standard diesel or gas-powered generators, as well linked to mains power grids and solar panels.

The unit uses lithium ferro phosphate batteries, an inverter, control unit, power connections, solar MC4 connectors and a maximum power point tricker.

Himoinsa said the batteries have an operating life of 50,000 hours, equating to an economic life of five years. It added that the battery pack can be replaced quickly.

The set provides users with a choice of Plug & Play, Low load, Peak saving, UPS and a Load sharing modes for different applications.

Himoinsa said the EHR will be available in single phase 10kVA and three phase with 15, 30 and 45kVA nominal power, with two different storage capacity options for each model. The optimal configuration allows EHR’s batteries to be completely charged in less than 1.5 hours.

The EHR stores and distributes energy from standard generator units, enabling users to reduce the amount of time a standard generator is run, thereby lowering operating costs.

In addition, lower fuel consumption also means emissions from a connected, standard generator can be reduced by up to 50%.

To ensure energy is used efficiently, the EHR includes Himoinsa’s HICORE System. “This smartgrid controller selects the most favourable energy source for each charging condition, achieving the greenest and efficient energy solution”, said the Spanish manufacturer.
