Algeria event marks Haulotte distribution renewal

French MEWP manufacturer Haulotte and Algeria-based MEWP rental and sales company Farissia BTP jointly organised an event to promote the use of the equipment in the country. The renewal of Farissia’s distribution contract for Haulotte’s equipment was also announced.
The event, held in the Algeria’s second largest city in Oran on 8 February saw 30 industry professionals, including representatives from major national oil and gas companies, who attended workshops highlighting the services of the two companines.
Farissia BTP employs 240 people and specialises in working at height and services several projects across the country.
“Our strength lies in the proximity and responsiveness of our teams. With the support of the Haulotte teams, we are able to provide tailored solutions to our customers’ needs, as evidenced by the large-scale projects such as the Grand Mosque of Algiers or the construction of the Ali-la-Pointe Stadium in Douera, where our aerial work platforms were present,” said Hichem Marsel, general manager of Farissia.
Thierry Séon, Haulotte’s general manager of the Africa zone, emphasized the need to provide solutions that meet the requirements of Algerian customers. “The machines we offer to Farissia are equipped with the hostile environment kit, which protects sensitive areas from sand and dust. Today, we are also presenting the possibility of installing protection for machines operating in ATEX [explosion risk] zones,” explained Thierry Séon.
The Haulotte RTJ range was highlighted during the event, with the HA41 RTJ Pro and the HA26 RTJ Pro, allowing customers to discover and test embedded innovations such as the Activ’Shield Bar and the Activ’Screen.
