New generation articulated boom from Haulotte
25 March 2024
Haulotte has launched a new generation of its 20m working height rough terrain articulated boom lift.
The new version of the HA20 RTJ has been completely redesigned to meet the demands of modern worksites, says the manufacturer.
With its 11.9m horizontal outreach, combined with the company’s Dual Reach option, the model is designed to reach the most awkward working areas and upgrades load and tilt capacities.
The Dual Reach option increases the load in the basket from 250kg to 350kg, and enables work on slopes up to 6°. Once Dual Reach is activated on the upper control box, the machine continues to elevate and work smoothly, limiting the number of back-and-forth movements between the ground and the working area. The working envelope is also automatically adapted to ensure stability.
Equipped with standard 4-wheel drive and 2-wheel steering, plus oscillating axle, the machine is designed to adapt to all conditions. The automatic differential lock provides extra traction on uneven or muddy ground, allowing the operator to maintain full manoeuvrability and navigate obstacles. Thanks to its proportional controls, the HA20 RTJ offers precise, jerk-free driving and a smooth approach to the working area. The ergonomic control panel ensures operator comfort.
Power source
The HA20 RTJ’s new engine is rated at less than 18.5 kW and has optimised mechanical and hydraulic systems for maximum torque while reducing fuel consumption by 35% - 50%.
The chassis has also been redesigned with an improved hydraulic architecture, with axle drive. Thanks to these engineering improvements, the number of hydraulic hoses has been reduced by 35%, reducing maintenance and downtime.
Due to the innovations and on-board technologies, the components of the new HA20 RTJ PRO have a 97% recyclability rate, says the manufacturer.
Tools for fleet management and diagnostics
The HA20 RTJ PRO offers several on-board diagnostic solutions for fleet management. The include:
- Sherpal telematics solution, enables the owner to monitor the status of the machine remotely and in real time. It considerably reduces downtime by providing access to fault codes and actions to be taken. Telematics data can also be used for organising the routes of technical teams and preparing maintenance.
- Haulotte Activ’Screen on-board diagnostics tool gives access to machine parameters and provides key information on machine status in real time.
- These functions are also available via the Haulotte Diag mobile application, which offers advanced diagnostics with detailed resolution procedures
