Five mini excavators, including the HX17A Z, HX19A, HX35A Z, HX40A, and HX48A Z, will be launched in February.

Hyundai says that the line-up will be completed in the second quarter of 2024 with models weighing 2.5, 3.0, and 5.0 tonnes.

“The launch of the A-Series mini excavators by HD Hyundai is part of our strategy to have a more prominent presence in the growing European compact segment”, said Peter Sebold, Product Manager for mini excavators at Hyundai.

“Our mini excavators are breaking standards across the sector and setting new levels of performance, comfort and equipment.”

While all models have compact dimensions, those with a ‘z’ suffix feature a zero-tail swing design.

The company says that the zero tail swing machines can be supplied with additional counterweight if required, to increase stability during heavy lifting operations. Variable-width undercarriages on the smaller models are also available to deliver maximum stability for heavy digging and lifting tasks.

Safety valves are standard on all boom, dipper arm and dozer blade hydraulic cylinders. The boom arm and bucket cylinders also come with guards, to protect the hydraulic rams. All machines can be supplied with optional quick-coupler piping.

Hyundai added that a float function can also be included in the dozer blade hydraulics, while an optional angle blade is available on HX35A Z and above.

HX-A Series mini and midi excavators can be supplied with HD Hyundai’s Hi MATE remote management system. This uses GPS satellite technology to provide real-time telematic operating data to machine owners and service departments.

A new mobile application has been introduced to assist machine owners and fleet managers in efficiently and economically operating their machinery.

The Hi MATE app is designed to provide remote information required for operating machinery smoothly. The app also offers geofencing features, which alert users when machines are moved from a predetermined zone without authorization.
