Enhancing floor grinding

Manufacturer HTC has launched a new floor grinder which it said boasted over 100 new features and a 54% efficiency improvement.

The company said the Duratiq was available in two grinding widths – 600mm and 800mm - while new features included a new digital control panel and remote control, a new hermetically sealed and dustproof grinding head, enhanced airflow technology and a mist cooler system that is said it increase productivity by up to 216% and dust collection by 100%.

In addition, HTC said the new model featured 20 different handle settings and 74% less vibration. The Duratiq also boasts GPS tracking and USB ports to download operating data, upload new software and charge personal equipment.

HTC CEO Stefan Lind said, “HTC developed the method for grinding concrete floors using diamond abrasive technology 29 years ago. The step that we are now taking with the launch of Duratiq is almost as huge in the development of our business and the industry. Duratiq sets a completely new standard for productivity, reliability, operability and flexibility.”

The company added that the new floor grinder had been tested for more than 5000 hours before the launch, and offered a service interval of 1000 hours.
