Italy's IMER Group used the SAIE 2008 show to introduce its new Booster 15 concrete pump.

Imer designed its new concrete pump, the Booster 15, specifically for rental companies and to be "particularly easy to deliver to difficult job sites," said Riccardo Giannettoni, sales director.

The 1400 kg machine is compact, easy-to-use, durable and inexpensive - at €45000 - said the Italian company.

A 24.5 kW Lombardini FOCS model 1404 diesel engine powers the two-cylinder, 'S' valve pump, which delivers concrete containing aggregrates up to 25 mm in size at pressures of 70 bar. Pumping rate is from 2 to 15 m3/hr from a 250 l hopper, which is convered by an electrically-driven, vibrating grill.

The Booster 15's control system has a stainless steel operator panel and an Imer-designed controller, which is completely sealed and located in a protected position. Dimensions of the model are 1450 mm (W) by 3970 mm (L) by 1515 mm (H).

Launched at SAIE in Bologna as a production prototype, the model will be available worldwide with or without trailer in March 2009 after endurance testing. Imer said it will introduce next month a sprayer version of the Booster 15, which will have a spraying unit that is interchangeable with the pump.
