Fifth IAPA judge announced

The fifth judge for the International Awards for Powered Access has been announced as Pedro Torres, the CEO of Riwal, Europe’s largest powered access specialist rental company.

Jointly organised by KHL’s Access International and the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), the IAPAs will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, 14 March, on the same day as the IPAF Summit, and are set to attract the usual crowd of around 450 industry professionals.

Torres joined Riwal as Regional Director for South Europe in 2012. Two years later he became Chief Operating Officer, before taking on the role of CEO in 2019.

Previous to his time at Riwal, Torres held senior executive roles at Nacanco and Hune, and has more than 20 years’ experience in the European rental industry.

As always, the IAPAs represent the global access industry at its highest level and encourages individuals and companies, large or small, that can demonstrate best practice to enter.

Vicki Allen

Vicki Allen, Managing Director of International Platforms

Allen celebrates 20 years in the access platform industry in 2024, during which time she has worked with many of the biggest names in the business. She started her own company with her daughter, Jade, in 2020 and today, as well as running a busy firm with clients across the world, is a champion for improved diversity and co-operation within the access platforms industry. Allen won the first IAPA Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) award in 2023.

Elisabeth Ausimour

Elisabeth Ausimour, President of the Product division, Manitou.

Ausimour has overseen a major expansion of the company’s MEWP product line and manufacturing facilities. Ausimour joined Manitou in 2005 and assumed responsibility for hydraulic purchasing.

In 2009, she took over customer quality and from 2011 to 2016, directed the Candé platform plant in Maine-et-Loire, France.

Dawei He

Dawei He, Global Sales and Marketing Director, Sinoboom.

Dawei joined Sinoboom in 2021 to define the company’s global market strategy for Sinoboom and develop the overseas team.

Previously Dawei was with Liugong Machinery since 2007 in an range of senior roles, including President of Liugong Latin America, Liugong Europe, and Global sales director for Dressta Machinery.

Vipul Tulsian

Vipul Tulsian, Managing Partner at India-based RentEase International.

Having started up in 2017 as a rental company of new scissor lifts, RentEase has since the Covid, added used equipment sales to its portfolio and widened its new equipment distribution offering by becoming an exclusive dealer for Niftylift and Scanclimber in India. The company has also set up in Belgium and the USA, with an office in the latter opening as a trading and sourcing centre for used equipment.
