Trackunit announces Pass IoT Access Management device
09 July 2024
Global Internet of Things (IoT) company Trackunit has introduced the K300 — the next-generation access management solution to the Trackunit Pass series.
Trackunit Pass allows fleet managers to use the Trackunit On mobile app to set up access to machines via card, pin code, or smartphone. This is said to give them instant control over who uses a machine, allows them to set specific usage times, and prevents under-qualified personnel from gaining access.
Trackunit adds that only qualified operators can access complex equipment such as mobile elevated work platforms and large excavators, reducing risks and increasing safety on site.
“Trackunit Pass in its latest version builds on a proven and successful product that is already working really well and has been widely adopted by the market,” said Trackunit’s Lærke Ullerup, Chief Product and Marketing Officer.
“Companies will be able to establish their access management policies to scale equipment access control, unleashing opportunities for rental pooling,” said Ullerup.
“We’re yet to really tap into the potential of rental pooling in the construction industry so this is an exciting development that will enable significant bottom-line improvements.”
Trackunit Pass is said to be specifically designed to complement the TU700, Trackunit’s latest version of Raw, which entered the market in the first quarter of 2024 and is expected to adapt and evolve with future OEM services and prolong the life of machines.
