IPAF Summit theme and speakers revealed

With less than a month to go until the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) hosts the 2025 IPAF Summit in Dublin on 13 March, this year’s theme has been revealed as Beyond Compliance: Safety as a Culture, Not a Checklist.

Highlighting the importance of embedding a true safety mindset across powered access operations, the IPAF Summit will bring together industry leaders and innovators from across the globe for an opportunity to network, share ideas and forge partnerships.

Hosted by multi-award-winning comedian Barry Murphy, the Summit’s theme focuses on going beyond regulations to emphasise the intrinsic benefits of proactive safety leadership, continuous training and a commitment to best practices that protect workers and enhance productivity.

Through expert talks, real-world case studies, and interactive discussions, attendees will gain practical strategies to create a culture where safety isn’t just a requirement – it’s a core value.

The conference line-up:

  • Sérgio Kariya, CEO of Mills Rental in Brazil, discussing how to drive excellence and safety
  • Susan Huang, VP of Dingli in China, on sustainability and innovation
  • Romina Vanzi, Head of Regional Development at IPAF, covering the latest news

  • Brian Parker, Head of Safety & Technical at IPAF, and Alana Paterson, Chair of the IPAF International Safety Committee and Head of Health, Safety & Environment at Taylor Woodrow, launching IPAF’s new safety campaign
  • Stefano Scapin, Chief Business Development Officer APAC at COBO, discussing geopolitics impacting corporate businesses

The panel session entitled ‘Driving Excellence – How Can the Industry Support Contractors?’ features Ivan Conway, EHS Director of Winthrop Technologies; Alana Paterson, Chair of the IPAF International Safety Committee and Head of Health, Safety & Environment at Taylor Woodrow; and Gary Hutchinson, Business Unit Health & Safety Manager at John Sisk & Son Ltd.

Speaking ahead of the event, Peter Douglas, IPAF CEO and Managing Director said, “Safety should never be just a box to tick – it must be ingrained in everything we do. ‘Beyond Compliance: Safety as a Culture, Not a Checklist’ is about shifting mindsets and fostering a proactive approach to safety in the powered access industry.

This event is heading towards another sell-out year, highlighting the demand for networking events and the importance of promoting safety in the powered access industry. Attendees are currently attending from over 25 countries and so far, 550 delegates will be attending the annual awards.
