Sunbelt in film and TV acquisition

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland has announced the acquisition of JLL Group. No financial details of the transaction have been disclosed.
The deal for the UK-based production and equipment business includes JL Lighting Limited, JL Live Limited and Digiset Limited, which form the JLL Group brand.
Founded in 2009, the companies specialise in technical broadcast and production solutions for the corporate events, conferences, live events and film and TV production industries.
The companies and their employees will be added to Sunbelt’s new 180,000sqft film and TV facility in Wembley, just outside of central London which the company said was designed to “support the growing needs of the industry.”
Sunbelt said the acquisition aligns with its previously announced Sunbelt 4.0 strategy of delivering growth and greater value to customers and will enable it to broaden its capabilities to offer a wider range of equipment, specialist knowledge and innovative solutions for the film and TV, broadcast and events industries.
