Kiloutou reports modest growth in 2024
17 March 2025
Kiloutou grew its revenues by 3% to €1.25 billion in 2024, a moderation of the pace of growth seen in recent years that reflects the subdued economic environment in much of Europe.
In France, its major market, revenues were up 1.6% at €771 million. Revenues outside France rose by 6.9% to €479 million, helped by acquisitions in Spain and Germany over the past 18 months.

The company said it aimed to double its revenues by 2030. It strategy will be focused on acquisitions, fleet investment, depot openings - it opened 24 new branches last year and plans 15 in 2025 - and a greater focus on specialty divisions.
“Our model, based on the sharing economy, is proving its relevance in a world of uncertainty”, said Olivier Colleau, CEO of Kiloutou Group.
“Rented equipment is used two to three times more than purchased equipment, thus offering an economically advantageous and environmentally responsible solution.”
‘Top three player’
The company said it wanted to be a top three player in all the countries where it operates - France, Poland, Italy, Spain, Germany, Denmark and Portugal. Its recent acquisitions in Spain - of Valser, Liftisa and Global Movingrent – had made it a top three player in the country, it reported.
Also supporting its growth strategy will be recruitment of staff. In 2024 it added 1,300 new employees, including nearly 1,000 in France, and it expects an equivalent level of recruitment this year. Kiloutou employs more than 7,000 people.
Like other rental companies, Kiloutou sees further potential in its specialty rental divisions. In France it operates divisions for portable accommodation, power, events and traffic management.
It said it would strengthen these divisions as well as diversify its business with a focus on power and railway customers as well as major infrastructure projects and industrial customers.
Pierre Knoché, managing director, Kiloutou France, said; “Our multi-local and multi-specialist positioning allows us to be performance partners on all types of construction sites, thanks to our network, our range of equipment, the widest on the market, and the expertise of our teams.”
Digital and sustainability
Kiloutou said it had a long-term ambition for 30% of its revenues to be generated through digital channels. E-commerce sales grew by 44% in 2024.

In sustainability, Olivier Colleau said Kiloutou must be a driver of change rather than a follower. It has committed to reducing its direct emissions by 42% by 20230 and its indirect emissions (Scope 3) by 25%.
