UK hire show to showcase carbon-reducing equipment

A new UK trade show aimed at attracting hire companies and suppliers to show the latest carbon-reducing equipment is to take place in October, it has been announced.
Onsite On Hire comprises of two annual shows in London and Birmingham that will be co-located with the UK’s Construction Week exhibition.
The first will take place at the NEC, Birmingham, on October 3, with the second to be held at the Excel in London from the 7-9 May 2025.
Founded by Anthony Kane, a former consultant for a number of construction events, the show will feature targeted exhibitors that will showcase equipment in the solar, hybrid, battery technology, hydrogen and electric range.
Organisers said they expect approximately 20,000 construction visitors per event, which will include exhibits of solar welfare cabins, solar hybrid generators and solar lighting sets as well as hire/rental of energy management software.
A number of exhibitors have been confirmed such as JCB, which will showcase its E-Tech range, including its 1TE electric dumper and 19CE electric mini excavator.
Other exhibitors include access equipment manufacturer Niftylift, Altrad Belle, MHM Group and tool manufacturers Milwaukee and Makita.
UK-based rental company Speedy Hire will also attend and will showcase its range of low and zero carbon world-first products at the Speedy Hire stand on the Innovation Zone.

Sam Patel, divisional director – Construction, who oversees UKCW Birmingham, commented, “Onsite On Hire’s centrally located Innovation Zone will include a comprehensive selection of key industry suppliers, names such as JCB, renowned for its pioneering products, Makita Power Tools, Altrad Belle, Niftylift with their hydrogen/electric mobile elevated work platforms, Milwaukee Power Tools and others showing their latest new technology products that can be hired to be used on construction sites.”
