Trio of new senior management roles at MEC

MEC Aerial Work Platforms has promoted Brian MacFarland to Executive Vice President, and announced a new parts and service lead Kyle Waller to take on his previous role. In addition, David Baxter takes on marketing and product management.

MacFarland joined US-based MEC in 2020 and has served as Vice President, Parts, and Service until now. In his new role, MacFarland will oversee MEC’s sales, marketing, and operational teams.
Prior to joining MEC, MacFarland was General Manager and President at Equipment Parts Wholesale (EPW), leading the company through its eventual sale to TVH.
MacFarland started in the AWP industry in 1995 with UpRight gaining progressive responsibilities over seven years in parts and service. A veteran of the US Marine Corps MacFarland will continue to report to MEC’s President David White, who will oversee the finance, engineering, and human resources teams.
New parts lead

Kyle Waller has become Vice President, Parts, and Product Support. Waller started with MEC in 2020 and has served most recently as Director of Parts and prior to that as Central Region Sales and Business Development Manager.
Before joining MEC, Waller spent two years at Amazon in operations management and five years with Genie Industries in sales and business development roles. Waller will report to Brian MacFarland.
Marketing role
MEC also announces David Baxter as Vice President, Marketing & Product Management. In this role, Baxter will oversee MEC’s product development and positioning along with MEC’s marketing communications team.

Baxter brings over 10 years of experience as Vice President Marketing and Product Strategy at Harmar Mobility, LLC, a medical device manufacturer and over 17 years in marketing, product management and strategic planning in the AWP industry at JLG and UpRight. Baxter will report to Brian MacFarland.
David White, MEC President commented, “Brian MacFarland has proven to be a savvy commercial and operational leader for MEC and has been instrumental in our rapid growth. Brian’s appointment will help lead MEC’s evolution as a premier Aerial Work Platform supplier to the rental industry.”
