The meeting, held at the beginning of February, provided a valuable platform for members to exchange ideas and discuss key issues facing the industry, as well as showcasing Skyjack’s new electric drive scissor lifts and articulating booms, allowing attendees to view and experience the equipment up close.

According to the Access Alliance, the demonstration provided a valuable insight into the direction of the industry, particularly the increasing shift toward electric-powered solutions.

The Access Alliance is a collaboration of 22 independent powered access hire companies, operating across 74 UK depots, with a combined fleet of 18,000 machines. The partnership enables members to share resources, expertise, and drive industry innovation while maintaining their independent operations.

Mike Webb, Chairman of the Access Alliance, thanked Skyjack for their hospitality. “We’re grateful to the team at Skyjack for hosting the meeting and for giving our members the opportunity to see and demo the new electric drive scissor lifts, electric articulating booms and preview of the soon to launch hybrid electric articulating booms. The feedback from members has been very positive, and it’s clear that these innovations are of great interest to the industry.” (See the article below about the launch of Skyjack’s electric booms).

Dean Marks, Skyjack’s European Sales Manager, said, “It was a great opportunity to engage with the Access Alliance members and showcase how our latest electric-powered equipment is helping support the industry’s shift toward more sustainable solutions. The discussions were invaluable in exploring the future direction of access equipment and how we can continue to meet the evolving needs of the sector.”
