MCS Rental Software has introduced its new Split Tasks feature, designed to improve productivity and flexibility in plant operations by allowing tasks to be divided into smaller, more manageable parts.

The company said the feature helps planners break down assignments based on duration and available manpower, making it easier to allocate resources efficiently over extended periods.

For example, a five-day task can be split across multiple operators—such as four days with one operator and the final day with another—ensuring a steady workflow despite personnel changes or time constraints.

It added that the Split Tasks feature addresses the increasing need for adaptability in busy plant environments, where operational changes are frequent.

By introducing greater flexibility in task allocation, MCS said aims to help operators maintain productivity without compromising on quality or efficiency.

Nick Thomson, MCS sales director, said, “The launch of our Split Tasks feature is a significant step forward in helping plant operators better manage tasks and allocate resources effectively. From initial planning on desktop to completion on mobile devices, the entire process is streamlined with MCS Rental Software.”
