HKL has supplied a 22m working height Ruthmann Bluelift SA22 tracked platform facade work on a newly-rebuilt residential building.

The project, in Niendorf, northern Hamburg, Germany, presented some challenges, as the site was cramped and the ground uneven. One of the last steps was the installation of the thermal insulation on the outside of the house.

PM Project Management, which was commissioned to carry out the work, needed a flexible platform that can stand securely on the uneven ground and be manoeuvrable in the confines between the houses.

In addition, it had to fit through a narrow garage door, the only access to the site. Stefan Gerken, site manager for PM Project, said, “The cooperation with HKL is going really well. Everything works and we have just the right machine for our job.”

Alexander Matthies, HKL customer consultant in Hamburg, added, “We are constantly expanding our rental park so we can offer the right equipment for every need. Of course, this also applies to the elevator access technology.”
