Platform Basket delivers first 54m spider
03 May 2024
The first delivery of Platform Basket’s 54m working height Spider 54T has been made to Italian rental company Minoege.
First launched at the GIS show in Italy, the spider 54T offers a load capacity of 400kg for up to four people, without height restrictions. This specification, says the manufacturer, makes the model unique in the self-propelled spider lift category.
The design provides a high-performance chassis, with diagonal track extension system, for extreme slopes and rough terrain. The diagonal movement of the two tracks is controlled remotely via a radio control to allow adjustments of the machine’s centre of gravity on laterally inclined slopes that are difficult to navigate.
Dario Giro, CEO of Minoege, said, “The Spider 54T project was born from a common need of ours and Platform Basket.
“We aimed to offer greater performance to our customers for machines in this category, while Platform Basket expressed the desire to expand its range of products, and from this common ambition, a fusion of ideas emerged.
“Now that we have been able to verify what Platform Basket has achieved, we can only reiterate our total satisfaction, convinced, once again, that we have placed our trust well.”
