Teupen launches into big truck mounts

Spider lift specialist Teupen is entering the truck mounted platform segment with a new 71.6m working height model, which was launched at Bauma last week. 

The TE720 will lay the foundation for a wider TE Series, said the manufacturer, which will produce the model at Teupen’s Krefeld, Germany facility.

With a working height of 71.60m and an outreach of up to 42m at a basket load of 100kg, the TE720 is designed for demanding applications. At the maximum basket capacity of 600kg, it achieves an outreach of 32 metres.

Its lower boom section features four telescopic extensions, providing up-and-over reach of 46m, while a below ground reach of 17m enables use in challenging environments. A 220° jib and a dual 220° rotatable basket further increase flexibility. The machine’s angled outriggers allow for a full 360° working envelope, enabling unrestricted outreach in all directions.

Thanks to a compact design, weighing in at under 32 tonnes with a total vehicle length of 11.8m, the unit can be operated without special permits. Chassis options currently include Scania, MAN, and Volvo.

High performance 

According to Teupen, the TE720 was developed with the aim of setting new standards in performance and user-friendliness. Operators can work with the machine without requiring extensive training. Alongside Teupen’s own control system, users can choose from several industry-standard controls, allowing operators to work with the system they know best.

Emphasis was also placed on safety and ergonomics. All control systems are designed for precise and comfortable operation, even in challenging conditions. All functions can also be operated via a modern radio remote control, giving users full access to relevant controls during outrigger setup. This not only simplifies monitoring at ground level, says the company, but also enhances precision and safety.

The TE720’s is suited to a range of applications in the rental and end user sectors, including work on power lines, telecom towers and complex maintenance tasks on industrial facilities and buildings.

Growing range 

The new TE Series will be expanded with further models offering different working heights, probably around four models, said the company, positioning the company as a player in the high-performance truck mounted platform segment, it said.
