AVI Cranes adds over 50 Haulotte platforms

AVI Cranes' team with new Haulotte equipment The AVI Cranes team has already taken delivery of a number of its new Haulotte platforms.

Israel-based construction equipment rental company AVI Cranes has expanded its fleet of MEWPS with the addition of 55 units from Haulotte.

AVI Cranes, which is based in Azor in the Tel Aviv District of the country, comprises cranes, heavy transport, forklifts and access equipment divisions, that primarily serve the country’s industrial sector.

Described as one of the largest powered access specialists in Israel, in addition to a substantial number of cranes, forklifts and trailers, AVI’s equipment fleet also consists of around 900 scissors and boom lifts.

The new machines, which were recently ordered through Haulotte Africa, include the manufacturer’s 5.8m STAR 6 vertical mast model and its Optimum 8 electric scissor lift model with a working height of 7.7m.

Alongside these, AVI also added the manufacturer’s HA20 LE PRO all-terrain electric articulating boom model, which offers a working height of 20.7m, and a HT43 RTJ PRO telescopic boom with a working height of 42.2m.

According to Haulotte, its Africa subsidiary also provided customised training to AVI Cranes technicians “to reinforce their knowledge on vertical masts and scissor lifts”.

Over the course of three days, AVI’s technicians received theoretical and practical training on all aspects of Haulotte’s machines.

This included a detailed overview of the equipment’s overload and reach calibration procedures, parameters’ settings, and on how to carry out machine diagnostics using the Haulotte Diag tool.

Ahmed Errouissi, service manager at Haulotte Africa, said, “Training is a major issue in our sector. AVI Cranes’ technical teams now have the knowledge to maintain and diagnose Haulotte scissor lifts and vertical masts.

“I will come back in February to provide further training on the PULSEO generation all-electric articulating boom lift and the telescopic big booms.”
