Italy-based Mollo Noleggio is expanding in its home territory with the acquisition of the Sovecar Group’s rental division. No financial details of the deal have been disclosed.

Mollo said the deal for Trento-headquartered Sovecar, which also operates two branches in Isera (Rovereto) and Arco, marks “an important moment of growth” for the company.

It said customers of the Sovecar Group’s rental division will be able to count on a wide range of equipment and will have access to “advanced digital technologies and a technical assistance service with highly specialised personnel, guaranteeing the highest standards of safety and equipment maintenance.”

As well as seeing Mollo enter the Trentino region for the first time, the company will also expand its coverage in Italy to 66 depots and over 600 employees following the completion of the deal.

Mauro Mollo, president of the Mollo Group, said the company “wants to continue to grow by acquiring realities specialised in rental, strongly rooted in the territory they belong to.”

He said, “For over 40 years Sovecar has based its essence on family, trust and professionalism, constantly working to offer the best possible experience to its customers. They share with us the same vision oriented towards growth, quality and customer satisfaction.

“We are delighted to welcome the team of the Sovecar Group’s rental division to the Mollo family, certain that together we will be able to develop important synergies and increase mutual expertise, with the aim of continually improving service to our customers and achieving ever more ambitious goals.”

Marco Giglioli, CEO of Sovecar, added, “We are confident that this transition will provide Sovecar’s rental division with new growth opportunities under the leadership of the Mollo Group. At the same time, Sovecar will be able to fully focus on developing its expertise in the plant engineering sector, consolidating its role as a leader in technological innovation and renewable energy.”

The investment in Sovecar is the latest landmark that Mollo has hit in Italy in recent years. Last year it acquired Manetta Noleggi, bringing the number of Mollo depots across Italy to 50.
