Aktio adds Silent Piler via Giken deal
13 May 2022
Japanese rental company Aktio has secured a deal with Japanese press-in silent piling machinery specialist Giken; the agreement will see Giken supply piling equipment - in particular its trademarked Silent Piler - to Aktio for rent to Aktio customers.
A centrepiece of Giken’s range, Silent Piler is a hydraulic pile jacking machine that intsals piles with no noise or vibration.
As well as machines, Giken will supply Aktio with maintenance expertise, on-site technology, sales engineering, and support for Aktio’s trademarked ‘Rensulting’ equipment rental service for construction companies and specialty contractors.
Combining rental and consulting, Rensulting advises on optimum machines for different construction applications, as well as providing supplementary advice.
The alliance will see Giken support Aktio to grow its rental fleet and widen its area of operation, while both companies will collaborate on customer acquisition. As of this month, Giken’s Tokyo factory will be used as a base to provide training to engineers and operators.
It is understood Aktio, which has a presence in Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore, Myanmar, and Indonesia, is actively pursuing global expansion. The ‘Rensulting’ approach will support the roll out of Giken technology at Aktio’s overseas companies.
Aktio’s Singapore-based Aktio Pacific and Giken’s Singapore-based parent company Giken Seisakusho Asia have recently finalised a designated factory contract to support both businesses’ expansion strategies.
A statement from Giken said it will grow its customer base through Aktio’s network “and establish the supply structure of press-in machinery” to respond to “rising demand.”
Giken also said the alliance with Aktio was a step toward growing its sales to¥100 billion (€745,952,020) in 10 years, as outlined in its mid-term management plan 2024.
