A-Plant will add the Kier hoist business to its GB Access division.

The UK’s A-Plant has acquired Kier Construction’s hoist business and concluded a five year trading agreement with Kier covering hoists and a wide range of other rental equipment.

The hoist business will be incorporated into GB Access, A-Plant’s specialist personnel and materials hoist hire and sale division. The acquired business provides hoists to Kier as well as external customers. A-Plant said it would be “business as usual” for both parties.

Claudio Veritiero, Group Strategy & Corporate Development Director at Kier said, “The new agreement builds on our existing framework, with it now extended to cover telehandlers, lighting, generators, trackway, climate control equipment, hoists, specialist utilities equipment and powered access.”

Sat Dhaiwal, CEO at A-Plant said he was delighted to strengthen the relationship with Kier; “We look forward to playing a leading role in providing support to all Kier operating divisions as they deliver their strategic growth plans over the next five years.”
