Klubb acquires Comilev assets
08 February 2017
France-based van mounted platform manufacturer Klubb has acquired the assets of Comilev, after the company folded last year.
The assets include the brands and intellectual property of the former manufacturer’s vehicle mounts, including the Xtenso range, aimed particularly at utility applications.
“As part of our development strategy, we began several months ago to work on the design of a range of truck mounted lifts," said Julien Bourrellis, president of Klubb. "To this end, we recruited the heads of the Comilev research and development team, which were made redundant after the company went into administration in 2016. The acquisition of the Comilev product drawings will logically accelerate the launch of our range in this market segment.”
To manufacture its truck mounted lifts, Klubb has acquired a new 13000 square metre plant, adding to the existing facility of 20000 square metres just outside Paris.
“We are proud to announce the immediate creation of 25 jobs to produce these machines. Comilev's know-how in truck mounted lifts, combined with our expertise in van mounted lifts will enable us to offer a complete range of aerial work platforms for the European market. Since the launch of our range of Klubb aerial lifts at the end of 2015, we have created more than 60 jobs in France,” added Mr Bourrellis.
