MHM expands fluid storage for global market

UK equipment supplier MHM Plant is adding to its existing fluid storage range for gensets and heaters with tanks for Adblue and HVO as well as water bowsers.

MHM group sales director Brad Ireland told IRN the new additions include Adblue tanks, HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) tanks and a water bowser range. Along with MHM’s existing Fuel Tank range, the new lines are available globally from January 2021.

“Adblue tanks are being introduced as demand is increasing for bulk storage of Adblue, given its growing use in plant machinery,” Ireland said.

“By the end of this year, generator manufacturers will have to build any new generators with Stage 5 engines. Larger generators with stage 5 engines will use Adblue, so we anticipate demand will increase for bulk Adblue storage.”

The HVO range is a response to demand from plant companies looking for alternative fuels to diesel to reduce their C02 emissions, said Ireland.

It will be launched in sizes from 105l to 3000l, badged HVO Caddi 105, HVO Buddy 950, HVO Buddy 2000 and HVO Buddy 3000.

Meanwhile MHM “will be introducing static, towable water storage units in 1100l and 2000l sizes. In addition, we will offer them with on-demand pumps and pressure washers.”

All MHM’s new releases complement its existing range of static and towable fuel tanks.

MHM tanks feature four fork pockets and lifting eyes, are sized to transport across a truck bed and stackable for container handling. They feature interchangeable pump kits that can be swapped out in under 15 minutes and are fully bunded to retain spilt fluids.

“MHM’s fuel tanks are designed specifically for the rental industry, with a large, open cabinet space, making it easy to operate a manual pump, as well as enabling the user to install larger pumps, if required, for faster dispensing,” Ireland said.

“Pump plates and racks are designed to be easy to interchange with each hire. If required, end-users can operate two generator sets via two sets of feeds and return ports that can be connected to the generators.”

“In addition, it is possible to connect and use a dispensing pump, all via one tank, making it a multipurpose tank if needed. All tanks have fully galvanised corners for protection, making them particularly robust.”

“MHM also offers solar panels that can be mounted on the tanks to power the electric pumps in turn.”

Throughout 2021, MHM plans to launch larger models up to 5000l capacity across its fluid storage range.

From 2021 MHM Fuel Tanks will be available globally through the company’s international arm, Global Tanks, having been available to date in the UK and Ireland through MHM Group. The new Adblue, HVO and water tanks will be available in the UK and Ireland via MHM Group and globally via Global Tanks.

Ireland told IRN that MHM Group and Global Tanks are seeking worldwide distributors for the entire Fluid Storage range.
