NTS acquires in New York state

National Trench Safety, a US provider of trench shoring and safety products has acquired the assets and operations of New York state headquartered Vellano Shoring and Supply. The terms of the purchase have not been disclosed.

Vellano supplies slide rail, aluminium shoring, hydraulic shoring, trend boxes, manhold shields, road plates, gas monitors and safety and power equipment. It has locations in Buffalo and Albany, New York, serving Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Pennsylvania.

NTS’s product offering includes road plates, trench boxes, hydraulic shoring, slide rails, manhole boxes, beams, guide frames, and sheeting.

The company, which is based in Houston, Texas, has a network of 64 branch locations across the United States and two UK-based branches.

Last year NTS merged with Trench Plate Rental Company (TPRC). The combined business, retaining the National Trench Safety name, is majority owned by TPRC’s private equity parent company, Tailwind Capital. 

Other M&A moves include the acquisition in 2018 of key operating assets of Shore and Pour based in Chinnor, UK, near London.
