Trimble launches online educational series
03 March 2021

Technology firm Trimble has launched the first series of its new online educational resource, Dimensions Spotlight.
Starting in March, the first of Trimble’s Dimensions Spotlight series will comprise three episodes that will focus on reviving aging infrastructure in the US. They will be made available for free to viewers that register through the company’s website.
The US needs to invest heavily in its infrastructure - it has been described as ‘crumbling‘ and infrastructure investment should be at the heart of the government’s economic plans, according to the American Society of Civil Engineers
The episodes will feature industry experts who will share their thoughts on the “role of advanced technology and processes in supporting informed, data-driven decisions”. According to the company, they will also provide insight into why smart technology is vital to stimulating the country’s economy.
Rob Painter, Trimble’s President and CEO, said, “Before the pandemic, many organizations were on a digital transformation journey. This global crisis not only accelerated that journey, it has forced companies to pivot to a ‘better normal’ that is redefining how we connect and collaborate now and beyond the pandemic.
“Our Spotlight Series is one answer to this ‘better normal’, which will allow us to address industry challenges and present real solutions that can help companies grow and thrive by improving productivity, quality, safety, transparency and sustainability.”
Released at a rate of once a week starting on March 10, the first series of episodes will remain online for registered users via the company’s website for the whole of 2021.
Trimble already has a further three series planned, which are scheduled to be released over the course of the year. Series two, three and four will focus on the evolving workforce, sustainability and automation.
