Celebrating Key Moments

This year marked several noteworthy activities within the rental industry.

European Rental Week (ERW): We celebrated European Rental Week, which brought the rental community together to highlight the value and importance of our industry. Your enthusiastic participation made this initiative a success, and we are grateful for the efforts you made to showcase rental’s role in a sustainable economy.

ERA Convention 2024: The annual ERA Convention provided a platform for insightful discussions, networking, and knowledge sharing. It was inspiring to see so many industry leaders come together to explore the future of rental and discuss challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

European Rental Awards: This year’s awards ceremony was a celebration of excellence. We honoured outstanding achievements and innovations within our industry, and your support and recognition of the winners highlighted the collective drive for continuous improvement that defines the equipment rental community.

Strengthening Our Digital Engagement

Committees and Working Groups: Driving Strategic Initiatives

Our five committees and two working groups have been at the core of ERA’s activities this year. Together, they addressed critical topics such as sustainability, energy transition, the potential of artificial intelligence, and attracting talent to the rental sector.

Throughout 2024, ERA worked on several key projects aimed at supporting the rental sector’s growth and resilience:

ERA Market Report 2024: Providing essential insights and analysis to help businesses navigate market trends.

Equipment CO₂ Calculator: Helping rental companies track and reduce their carbon footprint.

ERA Carbon Reporting Guidance: providing comprehensive sectoral guidance for rental companies on reporting corporate carbon emissions across Scopes 1, 2, and 3.

ERA Sustainability KPIs Framework: Offering a structured approach to measuring and improving sustainability practices.

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH): Delivering resources to promote safety and wellbeing in the workplace.This project will be delivered early 2025.

ERA OSH Toolbox: serving as a practical tools to support effective health and safety management. (ongoing 2025)

Energy Transition in Rental: Facilitating the industry’s move towards cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions. ‎(ongoing 2025)‎

Equipment Theft Guide: Offering guidance to mitigate the risk of equipment theft. ‎(ongoing 2025)‎

Expanding Our Team

We are delighted to share that the ERA Secretariat team has grown this year; Annemarie Tax, Junior Project Manager, Theodora Prifti, Intern and Rabia Ozdemir, Communications Manager.

This expansion strengthens our capacity to support our members and advance our initiatives. We look forward to continuing this momentum into 2025.
