Acces Industrie has said it has consolidated its position as the third largest French rental company with the acquisition of Huet Location. No financial details have been disclosed.

Founded in 1991 by the Huet family, Huet Location is a specialist in the rental of aerial work platforms and personnel lifting platforms.

Huet’s website states that it has a rental fleet of 2,500 machines.

Operating from its headquarters in La Frette in the southeast of France, the company operates eight depots in Nantes, Amiens, Caen, Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille, Grenoble and Toulouse.

A statement on the Acces Industrie social media platform LinkedIn said, “This family business is recognised for its professionalism and its fleet of high-rise boom lifts and telescopic/rotary trucksgreat capacities, which will strengthen our teams and enrich our fleet.”

The deal, which expands Acces Industrie’s reach in France to almost 50 depots, is the first notable move it has made since it was sold by its private equity owner Equistone Partners Europe in April last year to France-based investor Delmas Investissements & Participations (DIP).

Under the ownership of Equistone the company made its first entry into the Spanish market with the purchase of Uping Access in 2022.

In 2023 the company generated €140 million in revenues, enough to see it place inside the top 100 of the IRN100 list of largest rental companies in the world based on revenues.
