Aggreko buys solar power operator

Aggreko Energy Transition Solutions (ETS), the division of Aggreko which builds and operates large scale solar and battery storage power facilities in the US, has acquired US solar power company Infiniti Energy from its private equity owner, Upper Bay Infrastructure Partners (Upper Bay). The purchase price was not disclosed.

The deal expands Aggreko’s solar power business and asset base, adding 12 MW of solar assets and 22 MW of construction-ready projects. It also brings Infiniti’s expertise in solar engineering, procurement and construction (EPC). Infiniti is based in Hamilton, New Jersey, US.

Jerry Polacek, president of Aggreko ETS, said; “Combining the global scale, financial strength, and industry expertise of Aggreko with Infiniti’s distributed solar development and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) capabilities uniquely positions us to deliver turnkey decarbonization solutions to our customers.”

Michael Kushner, who was CEO of Infiniti Energy, has been appointed general manager of Aggreko ETS’s commercial and industrial business.

Kushner thanked the Infiniti teams and said he was excited by the opportunities for the business and its clients; “We deeply appreciate the trust our clients and vendors have placed in us over the years and we look forward to continuing to serve them with enhanced resources and expertise.”

Aggreko ETS develops, owns, and operates utility scale and distributed solar and battery storage projects across the US.
