Ahern to sell Ausa machines in Denmark

Ahern Group’s Danish subsidiary will now sell Ausa’s site dumpers, rough terrain forklifts and compact telehandlers in the country. The new, exclusive deal follows similar arrangements between the two companies in the US and Australia.

The companies have been working together for several years. Since 2020, Ahern Group has been an Ausa customer in the US through its Ahern Rentals business (recently sold to United Rentals). Ahern-owned Diamond A Equipment is also a dealer of Ausa dumpers and rough terrain forklifts in California and Nevada.

In May 2022 Ausa and Ahern also joined forces in Australia.

Ahern Denmark sells and services Snorkel aerial platforms, Denka-Lift branded trailer mounted platforms, and Maeda mini-cranes.

Manuel Urbaneja, Ausa Area Manager, said; “Given the great results that we have achieved in our joint commercial projects, we are certain that embarking on this new phase with Ahern in Denmark is the right move to increase our visibility and grow the Ausa brand in the market.

“There is currently a growing need for compact machinery for the construction and rental sectors, where our electric vehicles also bring significant added value.

“Furthermore, launching this project together with Henrik B. Skibsted, General Manager of Ahern Denmark and a well-known person in that country’s construction sector, ensures that we have a team with extensive experience and outstanding customer services.”

Skibsted added; “Ausa is a manufacturer with over sixty years of experience in the sector and with a strong reputation in Europe for its compact products. [It is] a type of machinery that we did not have and that is a necessity in Denmark, so it complements our product range perfectly.

“Moreover, we have noticed a growing demand for dumpers and compact telehandlers in the construction sector and in the rental channel, areas where we believe that we can obtain a very good market share.” Skibsted said the telehandlers would also be a good fit for Denmark’s agricultural sector.

Ausa recently launched its first fully-electric vehicles onto the market: the D151AEG dumper with a 1,500 kg payload, and the T164E telehandler, with a 1,600 kg payload and maximum lifting capacity of 4 metres.
