BakerCorp rebrands as United Rentals

United Rentals’ fluids and power division BakerCorp has announced that it will rebrand as United Rentals Fluid & Power Solutions. The change includes BakerCorp’s European operations.

It is also expanding its product range to include power rental, with diesel generators, fuel tanks, distribution boards and cables added to its core offering of tanks, pumps and filtration.

The change means that United Rentals will be operating under that name in Europe and competing with Europe’s rental sector in power rentals, and not just in Baker’s specialist area of fluid and filtration products.

Acquired by United Rentals in 2018, BakerCorp provides rental products for the transfer, containment and treatment of liquids. It is a global business with over 900 employees and a branch network in North America and Europe.

The rebrand will come into effect on 1 September 2021 and will align all European branch operations with United Rentals’ business in North America.

United Rentals’ second quarter earnings will be released later this month.
