Boels launches used equipment marketplace

Netherlands-based renter Boels Rental has partnered with its Scandinavian subsidiary Cramo to launch a digital marketplace for the sale of used machinery.

The equipment has been made available via a new shared digital platform, where thousands of machines can be purchased, with more to be added as the partnership expands, Boels said.

According to Boels, the platform offers its customers a wider range of second-hand equipment, including various heavier construction machinery and construction equipment.

The range is also available on auction websites of Boels’s European partners for tools and large equipment, with the channels allowing buyers to place bids during a set period of time.

Boels said the “multifaceted approach” reinforces its “multichannel strategy by offering customers access to an extensive range of products through various channels.”

It added that it ensures transparency and competitive pricing as customers can compare between various platforms.

Bart van Son, head of trade, Boels Rental, said, “We are excited about the launch of the digital marketplace: an innovative platform that provides our customers with high-quality used equipment.

“This marketplace acts as an extension of our commitment to a greener future. It promotes the circular economy by giving used rental machines a second life. With this marketplace, we are taking an important stepforward in making our industry more sustainable.”
