Boels says event rentals back to pre-Covid level

Boels Rental said its events business was back at pre-Covid levels for the latest summer season in the Netherlands and Belgium, with almost 9000 portable toilets and 158 km of fencing supplied for the festival season.

The company was active at events including Tommorowland in Belgium and the Zandvoort Formula 1 race, supplying a broad range of equipment, including 48,000 fences, 1,500 machines, and 1,300 mobile sign boards. It also supplied and catering equipment and aerial platforms to build stages.

Dennis Dubbelman, events manager at Boels and 15 year veteran of the events division, said that in addition to overall growth in events, he was also seeing increased demand for sustainable solutions.

“We try to anticipate this as much as possible by investing in machines that mainly run on batteries, for example. We also see customer demand growing”, said Dubbelman.

“Now that we are back at the level we were at before covid, we see that customers also want to expand their order intake”.
