CES Power acquires event rentals competitor

CES Power, the US power and temperature control rental company, has acquired Infinite Power, a competitor serving the mid-Atlantic states. The price has not been disclosed.

The deal includes Infinite’s sister companies, audio visual and broadcast specialists Showcall and MHA Audio, and event security company Checkmate Global.

The deal will give CES Power a new hub in the Washington DC and Baltimore area.

It is the seventh acquisition by CES since it was bought in 2021 by private equity firm Allied Industrial Partners. CES rebranded from CAT Entertainment Services following its acquisition by Allied.

Infinite Power is based in Beltsville, Maryland and rents portable generators and HVAC systems for festivals, concerts, sports venues, and government, corporate, and non-profit events. General Manager Jay Collins and the Infinite management team will remain with the company following the acquisition.

CES is headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, and has locations throughout the US. Infinite Power has a track record of providing power for high-profile national, including Presidential inaugurations and the opening of the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

Founded in 2019, Allied Industrial is a private equity firm that invests in industrial sectors including industrial rentals, manufacturing, distribution, environmental services, and critical infrastructure.
