Doosan showcases excavator

Doosan Infracore had a 29.3 tonne excavator on display at the ConExpo event - a new generation machine that is set to be available for sale by September this year.
The DX300LC excavator replaces Doosan's Solar 300LC, and sports a common rail, 147 kW, Tier 4 Interim compliant engine. The new engine produces 1900 rpm and improved torque, due to its use of common rail fuel injection and 4 valves per cylinder. This, in turn, has made the hydraulic system more efficient.
Featuring a 1.7 m3 bucket, Doosan claims the machine offers increased productivity and fuel economy together with improved visibility and operator comfort.
Also on display at ConExpo was the DX700LC - Doosan's largest crawler excavator. The show marked the North American debut for the machine, which is designed for heavy-duty mining and quarrying applications as well as major infrastructure projects and mass excavation work.
The DX700LC weighs in at 71 tonnes and sports a 3.3 m3 bucket. Power comes from a 345 kW diesel engine.
The company's DX235LCR near-zero-tail swing crawler excavator also got its first US showing at ConExpo. The 24 tonne machine has a tail swing radius of 950 mm and is designed to work on congested jobsites or close to buildings, walls or roadways.
Powered by a 129 kW, 6-cylinder engine, the machine sports a 0.9 m3 bucket.
