ERA Future Group is open for new members!

The ERA Future Group, founded in 2016, gathers young executives from rental companies with the objective that they provide their insight and vision on strategic issues for the equipment rental industry.

Since its first meeting in 2016, the Group has worked on a number of projects themed around customers, people and technology.

Eligibility criteria include being under the age of 40 and working for a rental company anywhere in Europe. The Future Group is open to participation from both members and non-member rental companies of ERA.

Latest projects of the Future group
AI and Rental‎

On 16 May 2024, during the ERA Convention, the Future Group held a workshop on the ‎impact of artificial intelligence on the equipment rental industry. The discussion ‎delved into how AI could shape the future of rental solutions and the session also included a ‎lively debate on where the industry was headed as these new technologies began to take ‎hold. In 2025, the Future group will further explore how the rental industry can benefit from the capabilities ‎offered by AI in a dedicated project

Projects related to technology

The Rental Branch of the Future project looked at the main trends that will influence the ‎equipment rental industry in the next 10 years, from social, environmental and strategic ‎phenomena to technology, talent and the workforce, and evaluated how disruptive and soon ‎the impact might be.

A large study on the impact of digitalisation led by the Future group described the in and outs of the digital transformation journey of leading rental companies.

Projects related to people

Attracting and retaining talent is a critical part of the future competitiveness of the rental industry, and the ERA Future Group has delivered a number of projects on the theme of human resources.

Projects related to customers

The CRM Guide for Choosing and Implementing a CRM System describes the importance of CRM systems, sets out criteria for success and offers a number case studies and best practices from leading European rental companies.
