First Multitel Pagliero 70m hybrid delivered
25 November 2024
Multitel Paglliero has delivered the first of its 70m working height hybrid MJ 700 truck mounts.
The new unit went to the Netherlands-based rental company Boer in November. It is the highest ‘green’ machine made by Multitel Pagliero and is mounted on a Volvo FM500 10x4 (5 axles) truck.
The maximum working height of 70.20m is complemented by a 36m horizontal outreach and a basket capacity of 120kg - 280kg at 33.50m outreach, 400kg at 31.30m and 600kg at 28.50m. Despite its size, the variable stabilisation on each stabiliser from 1.3 m allows the machine to be positioned even in confined spaces.
A new hybrid pack allows the maxhine to work in electric mode, that can be selected either from the ground or from the basket, and offering zero-emissions.
The power system consists of two 80V - 210Ah lithium batteries, providing around 33Kwh of power and a 20kw - 80V electric motor, which drives the hydraulic pump. The batteries allow the boom to be fully at least four times from rest position.
Recharging carried out by:
- connecting to a 400V network (recharge approx 4 hours)
- or, operating the on-board diesel generator at any time while working, either from the ground or in the basket (recharge approx 5 hours)
From both panels, ground and basket, it is possible to access the hybrid system’s diagnostic screen to check the battery charge, current absorbed in real time, operating temperature of the batteries and inverter, and other parameters.
The MJ700 was painted in the black and yellow corporate colours of Boer B.V and joins Multitel Pagliero MJ525 and a J335 ALU units in the company’s fleet.
