Fork Rent grows telehandler fleet
30 June 2014
UK rental firm Fork Rent has added 35 new Manitou MT625 telescopic forklifts to its fleet of telehandlers.
Guy Nicholls, managing director of Fork Rent, said, “We have enjoyed excellent utilisation and reliability from our fleet of Manitou Powered Access platforms over the last few years so it was a natural progression to purchase the Manitou compact telescopics. The Manitou MT625 machines are a quality build and incorporate a lot of safety features as standard.
“From the hire company perspective the MT625T is a good machine, easy to transport from site to site. The extra lift height for such a compact model and forward reach are ideal for attracting increased hire potential. The new Manitou MT625 is very user friendly with an excellent interior cab layout and design.”
The MT625T offers a lift height of up to 5.85 m and a forward reach of 3.4 m. Measuring just 1.82 m wide by 1.92 m high, the machine is suited to sites with restricted access or small areas.
The machine offers two-speed hydrostatic transmission and a ‘joystick, switch and move’ control. Fork Rent ordered air conditioning in the cab for enhanced operator comfort.
Dealer Mawsley Machinery of Brixworth, Northants, supplied the new Manitou machines to Fork Rent.
