The company recently placed an order with the manufacturer for an initial 140 units of its CT160-80/100 and CT260-100/120 Ride-on-Roller models.

With drum widths of 80cm and 120cm respectively, both models are fitted with a Kubota diesel engine and are described as being easy to use and maintain.

The models, of which GAP has ordered 70 each, also include JCB’s Livelink telematics system as standard.

They also feature JCB’s new CT control panel, which allows operators to easily access different machine work modes, and all operational switches have been designed for easy use when wearing gloves.

While the larger CT260-100/120 has an operating weight of 2.5 tonnes and offers 30% gradeability, the 1.8-tonne CT160-80/100 with 25% gradeability.

Ken Stewart, Head of Procurement at GAP, said, “On-going supply issues driven by engine availability has forced us to look for alternative suppliers to maintain continuity of supply to our depot network.

“We undertook a full technical and commercial evaluation and were delighted with the resulting outcome.”

With JCB having already sold over 3,000 of the rollers world-wide, Stewart added, “Deliveries have now commenced, and we expect the feedback to be positive from both depots and our valued customers.”
