Genie has appointed a new director for parts and support services for its EMEARI (Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Russia and India) region, promoting Dominique Luijckx to the role.

A former professional athlete, Luijckx has “extensive experience with customer service and logistics”. Over the past ten years she has held parts and operations management roles with Terex at the EDC in Roosendaal, The Netherlands, and has also worked with Genie’s third-party logistics provider CEVA.

Described by Genie as an asset with a diverse skillset, Luijckx will now be responsible for ensuring “quality” support services for equipment parts and will work to build strong relationships with customers, end users and Genie’s parts team in the region.

Genie has also announced the appointment of Karen Bessant as its new territory sales manager for the UK south.

Bessant, who has previously worked in the material handling equipment industry, will work with the company’s European sales team to support key accounts in the UK.

She will also be responsible for developing relationships with new and existing Genie customers and will oversee all commercial activities for the region.

“We’re excited to have Karen join our team, and her experience in the equipment industry will help us expand our sales reach in the UK,” said Andrew Kendrick, Director of Sales and Support.
