H&E opens first branch in Iowa

H&E Rentals has announced the opening of its first general rental branch branch in the state of Iowa.

Based in the Midwestern city of Cedar Rapids, the facility specialises in the rental of a variety of equipment, including aerial lifts, earthmoving equipment, lighting towers and compressors.

The site includes a fully fenced yard area, offices and a repair shop. It is the 23rd branch the company has opened across the US since the second quarter of 2023, while it has also acquired nine others in the same period. 

Scott Pritchett, branch manager, H&E, said, “H&E’s expansion into Iowa adds another state to our Midwest operations and extends our reach farther north from our Columbia, Peoria and St. Louis branches.

“Our territory covers the entire eastern half of Iowa, from the Illinois and Wisconsin borders west to I-35. The newly renovated facility is just off I-380, and our proximity to Hwy 100 and other major roadways means we’re on our way to your job site quicker.

“We may be new to the Hawkeye State, but we’re certainly not new to the equipment rental business. H&E maintains one of the youngest fleets in the industry, and we look forward to establishing new relationships and showing customers how we can partner with them in their business.”

Earlier this year the company revealed that it aimed to maintain the rate of growth in its depot network in 2024, opening between 12 and 15 new sites. 

Brad Barber, chief executive officer, said the strategy is a “fundamental component of our strategic plans.”
