HAE appoints commercial director

Neil Bravery, commercial director, Hire Association Europe (HAE).

Hire Association Europe (HAE) has appointed Neil Bravery as its new commercial director.

Bravery, who is also the association’s president, first joined in 2021 as chairman, a role he held until July this year.

He has been in the rental industry for more than 30 years, during which time he has held several senior roles in the industry, including 12 years with SHC Hire (11 as managing director), three years with Brandon Hire and one with GAP Group.

His most recent role was the head of plant for Nexus Plant Hire. 

In his new role, with which he will also be commercial director of the Event Hire Association, Bravery will be responsible for the continues growth of the association and “continue to champion the sector,” HAE said.

Commenting on his appointment, Bravery said he is “honoured to take on the role and can’t wait to get stuck in.”

He said, “I am dedicated to ensuring the sector continues the incredible work we deliver as well as leading positive change to improve the sector and its support.

“Continues hire member engagement including our supply chain partners is paramount. I’m looking forward to speaking with prospective and existing members and showcasing the benefits of HAE and EHA.
