Kiloutou makes French earthmoving acquisition

Kiloutou has acquired Groupe La Centrale De Location (LCDL), an earthmoving and general construction rental company operating in the north of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in France. The terms of the deal have not been made public.
LCDL has a fleet of more than 1,600 machines, including excavators, wheeled loaders and compactor rollers, and has five locations in Mâcon, Péronnas (Bourg-en-Bresse), Belleville-en-Beaujolais, Dardilly (Lyon Nord) and Leyment (Ambérieu-en-Bugey).
Pierre Knoché, Managing Director France at Kiloutou, said; “This merger strengthens our geographical network in the areas of Ain, Rhône and Saône-et-Loire and increases our service offering.
“I am very happy to welcome the team members of La Centrale De Location, who will be an essential motor for the development of Kiloutou in the region.”
Etienne Papion, owner and Manager of LCDL said he was delighted with the transaction; “The proposed project was a critical part of my decision to sell. It will enable our group to pursue its development with the additional resources and means that the Kiloutou Group will make available.
“I am confident in the ability of the teams from both companies to make this merger a real success.”
Kiloutou has been steadlily adding to its business through acquisitions and organic growth. In the last six months it has acquired Normandy-based accommodation renter MC Loc and opened a new specialist business for temporary road signage.
