Klāvs Otisons has been appointed executive board member of Latvia-based rental company Storent Holding.

Otisons joins the company after nearly 16 years with Cramo Group and Boels, where he was most recently director of Group fleet management/uptime before leaving the role earlier this year.

A statement from Storent said, “Mr Otisons is an international-level expert with 20 years of experience in the rental industry, holding various international positions at Cramo Group and Boels Rental Group.

“His strengths are building long-lasting and high-performing teams, business management and development, leadership, and change management. With his skill and persistent passion for progress added to our executive board, Storent will step into a new level of expansion.”

Andris Pavlovs, co-founder and Chair of the Board of Storent said, “During the past two years, we have significantly restructured our company, therefore increasing work efficiency and bringing the most rapid growth of fleet in the history of Storent.

“In addition to that we implemented brand new ERP systems. We don’t intend to stop there, as we keep reaching even higher. Welcoming Klāvs Otisons to our team is a great honor. Our urge for progress and constant improvement unites us. His expertise will help Storent continue to increase its market share, profitability, and efficiency! We are thrilled to have him on our team!”

In separate news, Otisons also stood down from his role as chairman of the European Rental Association’s Technical Committee last week.

He has been a member of the committee for the last seven years and had acted as its chairman since April 2023.

Otisons said it was a “great experience and privilige” to be part of the committee and “work side by side with the largest European rental companies on fleet management, TCO, telematics, trainings and other improvements to make daily life easier for all rental industry’s stakeholders.”

His replacement is Matt Ross, asset innovation manager, Sunbelt Rentals UK.
