Latest Equipment CO2 Calculator now available

The tool is available for free on equipmentcalculator.org, and allows you to calculate the carbon footprint of construction machinery through a comprehensive life cycle analysis of an asset. Considering all influencing factors (including equipment transportation), it is possible to obtain a precise calculation of the environmental impact of an entire construction site.

There’s an important update: the calculator is now equipped with a complete API structure that allows for customized integration with a rental company’s systems. This enables:

• Predicting the specific consumption of each machine in a rental fleet.
• Including the calculation of CO2 emissions directly in each rental contract.
• Confirming actual emissions after the fact through integration with telemetry systems.

This way, rental companies can offer greater value to their customers, providing them with crucial information in a world increasingly focused on carbon emissions, where many countries have already legislated the need to demonstrate such data.

Being developed by the European Rental Association, the calculator is an impartial data source, best suited to certify the carbon emissions of machinery and equipment on construction sites.
