Loxam buys Denmark’s JM Trykluft

Loxam is expanding its Danish business with the acquisition of JM Trykluft A/S, a business founded in the 1970s and with 9 depots in Jutland.

JM Trykluft, which employs 70 people and reported revenues of €18 million last year, is being sold by its current owners, Christian Kannegaard Samuelsen and Carl Frederik Studier.

The deal will strengthen Loxam in western Denmark, where it has been operating since 2007. Loxam also acquired Cramo’s Danish business in 2017, which was then a €20 million operation.

The JM Trykluft locations will add to Loxam’s existing Danish network of 21 general plant branches and six specialized locations for access and portable accommodation.

“We are very excited and proud to announce the acquisition of JM Trykluft by Europe’s no. 1, Loxam”, said Kannegaard Samuelsen and Frederik Studier.

“We would like to thank our dedicated employees, vendors and other relations for their strong commitment through decades.”

Gérard Déprez, President of Loxam, added: “I am delighted to welcome the skilled and experienced JM Trykluft team into the Loxam Group.

“JM Trykluft is a long-established and renowned player in Denmark and operates an equipment range very well known to the Loxam Group and we will be able to share our mutual expertise.”

The largest rental player in Denmark is GSV, which has grown through acquisitions, the largest being Ramirent’s Danish business, which was bought in 2018.
