Mollo Noleggio makes two acquisitions

Italian rental company Mollo Noleggio has made two acquisitions in northern Italy; Monia Noleggi, headquartered in Forlì (Emilia Romagna) and Parmiani Noleggi in Valtellina (Lombardy).
The terms of the acquisitions have not been disclosed.
Alba-based Mollo has acquired 100% of aerial platform specialist Monia Noleggi , which has been active for over 25 years in Emilia Romagna.
Mollo Noleggio CEO Mauro Mollo told local newspaper Gazzetta D’Alba the acquisition was in line with the firm’s intentions to expand and invest in the Emilia Romagna region.
Monia Noleggi is also involved in projects in other sectors that would benefit the Mollo Noleggio business, he said.
Meanwhile Parmiani Noleggi specialises in aerial platforms, forklifts and earthmoving equipment, and has a presence in the Valtellina valley, the town of Lecco and the around the Swiss border, operating from three branches.
Mollo Noleggio has acquired 100% ownership of the firm, which will continue to operate under its own brand, led by the founders’ daughter, Chiara Parmiani, in the role of CEO.
Mauro Mollo said the acquisition would allow Mollo Noleggio to consolidate its presence in the north of Lombardy, taking its sites in the region to a total of 11.
Parmiani also operates in Switzerland, adding further potential opportunities for Mollo Noleggio.
Headquartered in Alba near Turin, Mollo rents equipment via centres across Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany and Umbria.
It is part of Mollo Group, which also crane rental company Mollogru and building materials firm Mollo Edilizia.
Late last year Mauro Mollo told IRN that the company - which has been investing in digitalisation and low emissions machinery - has plans to expand further within the Italian market.
