New APS parts division appoints digital lead
20 January 2025
UK distributor Access Platform Sales (APS) has launched a new online parts shop, and has appointed digital marketing specialist Dan Coe to build the company’s web presence.
The new APS online parts shop opened for business in November 2024 to augment an already busy parts service, run from the company’s HQ in Upton, in Cambridgeshire.
It follows the acquisition of APS’ sister company independent Parts & Service (IPS) by TVH Parts Holding (TVH) when both APS and IPS were part the then named IAPS group.
Coe joined APS with the remit of driving forward the company’s marketing strategies. He said, “This is an exciting time to join APS. It has a very strong reputation in the working at height sector in terms of the quality of its products and of its after-sales service.
“These USPs will be central to an ambitious growth strategy for 2025 and beyond, and we see making best use of digital systems to support our customers and our teams as being pivotal to its success.
“Our aim is to complement the excellent work of our sales and after-sales teams to give APS customers more choice, faster service, plus easier access to the equipment and technical back-up they need to drive forward their own businesses.
Digital strategy
Coe added, “Developing APS’s online parts shop is the perfect place to begin implementing our new digital strategy because it’s central to our purpose of our business. We want to proactively enable our customers to work at height safety, while maximising their productivity and the lifetime value of the machines they use.”
OEM parts for all machines distributed by APS can be bought at the online shop, including Hinowa, LGMG, BoSS, ToughLift, Ommelift, Wienold Lifte, and Genie, with 2,500 items available, and more being added.
APS Parts Manager John Treggalles added’ “Sales made through the online shop have grown week-on-week. The service complements our off-line parts service, with both providing next day delivery for items ordered before 1pm.
“As experts in our field, where customers need technical advice about parts and machine repair, or particular help in sourcing a part, they can call us to get instant help.
“But if they know precisely what they need and want to buy a part online, they can now do so from wherever they are, via desktop computer or a mobile device, backed by the APS promise that it will be with them as quickly as possible.”
