Modulaire, owner of Algeco and other portable accommodation rental businesses, has appointed Pavan Pattada as its group CEO, replacing Mark Higson who is to retire.

Pattada joins from Westinghouse Electric Company where he served as executive vice president, global operations services for five years. Before that he spent 16 years in senior roles at Eaton Corp. His career began with stints in the merchant navy and Deloitte Consulting.

He will join Modulaire on 8 July and become CEO on 1 August.

Modulaire said that while at Westinghouse, Pattada was “pivotal in leading the restructuring of the business supporting a step change in operating performance and enabling the business to return to growth.”

Modulaire’s board thanked Higson for his leadership since 2020; “During that period, he has overseen the successful transition of Modulaire Group under Brookfield’s ownership, while delivering sustained profitable growth and much improved safety and ESG performance.”

Modulaire operates in 23 countries and has a fleet of more than 335,000 modular space and portable storage units, as well as 5,000 remote accommodation rooms.

It operates as Algeco in Europe, including the UK, and its other brands include Advanté (UK), Altempo (France), Ausco and NET Modular (Australia), and Portacom (New Zealand).
