Peter Schrader extends Zeppelin Rental contract

Zeppelin Group has extended Peter Schrader’s contract as managing director of Zeppelin Rental by two years, effective June 1, 2026.

He will also remain as chief operating officer (COO) until May 31, 2028.

Matthias Benz, chairman of the Management Board of Zeppelin Group and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Zeppelin Rental GmbH, said Schrader has significantly contributed to the company’s growth over the past 20 years.

He said, “Peter Schrader has played a key role in the development and expansion of Zeppelin Rental’s business, particularly in the rental sector. This early contract extension reflects our commitment to stability and long-term success, even amid challenging economic conditions.”

Schrader added, “I am thankful to the Supervisory Board and shareholders for their support. Together, I am confident we can achieve further growth, even in difficult market conditions.

“Our business model’s strong foundation, our drive for innovation in the construction industry, and our dedicated team will be essential to our success.”

With nearly 35 years of service at Zeppelin Group, Schrader has been managing director of Zeppelin Rental since 2004. Under his leadership, the company expanded its rental portfolio, launched the ecoRent environmental brand, and solidified the event business as a key service area.

Peter Schrader is set to retire on June 1, 2028, taking him to over three decades of leadership at Zeppelin Group.

Speaking to IRN last year, Schrader said one of his goals is to “create a modern rental company, ready the challenges for the next 10 years” during his remaining tenure with Zeppelin.
